Infiniti: Always one step ahead

Ambition, determination and innovation are the qualities that drive Infiniti's engineers. As early as 1985, Nissan's first thoughts of luxury vehicles were made and only four years later the new Infiniti vehicle brand was introduced in the USA. Gradually, the brand spread to other countries and has been available in Europe since 2008.

The first model available in Germany was the FX50 SUV, which competed with the major car manufacturers BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi on the European market. This was followed by a premium sedan, the Model G, which was later also introduced as a coupé. A short time later, the manufacturer's second SUV was introduced to the European market: the Infiniti EX.

Safe driving with Infiniti

In 2010 Infiniti introduced the Blind Spot Intervention system. It not only detects when other vehicles are in the blind spot when changing lanes, but also steers the moving car back to its free lane and brakes it if necessary.

Just two years later, another pioneering technology was demonstrated. Backup Collision Intervention prevents accidents when the car is backing out of a parking space. The rear warning system detects objects approaching or blocking the path of the exiting Infiniti. If the risk of a collision is high, the system triggers the brakes.
