Bentley: on the road like the Queen of England

Today, the British luxury car brand Bentley is best known as the official car of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. However, the company had its beginnings in January 1919 in the London district of Cricklewood. Founder and namesake Walter Owen Bentley was a passionate racing driver and decided to produce his own cars. The venture was crowned with little success, but even then Bentley established its image as a luxurious but sporty brand, which has been maintained unreservedly to this day.

Even the takeover by Rolls-Royce and Volkswagen AG did not change this. The brand-typical lamella radiator still characterises all Bentley vehicles. For example, the Bentley State Limousine, which was produced as a gift for the Queen on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the throne - but only 2 examples, each worth a proud 11 million Euros. This makes the model one of the rarest vehicles ever produced.
